Lieutenant Colonel Manmohan Thakur is an alumni of Indian Military Academy Dehradun and got commissioned by the President of India on 24 Jun 2000. During his illustrious service he has served in several parts of the country to include Assam, Nagaland,Manipur, J&K,Delhi Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh ,Maharastra, Uttar Pradesh etc. The officer led many operations against insurgents and captured 26 Militants and booked them in various jails in Nagaland,Assam and Manipur.  In Kashmir he imparted training in a Corps battle school as Grade 1 Instructor and trained approximately one lakh soldiers against terrorism. He had the opportunity to organize a  National level event in Delhi on the occasion of Golden Jubilee Celebration of 1965 War in which Many dignitaries to include The Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi and the Honourable President Dr Pranab Mukherjee were the Chief Guests.  


The officer hosted many Cabinet Ministers, celebrities, War Veterans and their family members from all across the world in 2015. For his dedication to the service he has been awarded twice with The Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card in 2011 and 2015 and once with Army Commander Commendation Card in 2014. Apart from his meritorious service to the Nation he established Saroj Seva Sansthan Baghnocha in Vaishali district of Bihar in 2017 and for the last seven years the Society is making changes in  rural areas in terms of Education and Healthcare for which both electronic and print media have been publishing his contributions on regular basis.
